ENVIROPINFO is a network of Environment non-governmental organizations interested in European environment policies. It aims to promote the active involvement of civil society and local policy-makers in the implementation of the European environmental policies. Recallingthe Aarhus convention of June 25, 1998 which guarantees the rights of access to information, public participation in the decision-making process, and access to justice in environmental matters, non-governmental organizations are seen as an important role in the process of dissemination of information and support of individual private or public bodies working for environmental protection.
